Why The Lakewood Dojo?

For over 26 years, The Lakewood Dojo has served the Lakewood community as the premiere martial arts school in the Pacific Northwest. Established in 1995, we are well known nationally and internationally as one of the most respected Karate Dojo in the world.

We are proud of our professionalism, our national and international reputation, and the lessons which our members learn and have found to be a way of life. Whether you are seeking the physical conditioning aspect of a karate class for you and/or your child, or to put more discipline mentally and physically into your lives, training at the Lakewood Dojo is a productive expenditure of your time - a way of getting into great shape and learning an incredible skill at the same time.

Many feel the desire to be self-sufficient, in more control of their lives, and ultimately, want to be prepared for self-defense purposes. Children and young adults benefit greatly from our programs which build the confidence and self-esteem they take into adulthood. These building blocks of character development, physical prowess, leadership, and a “never give up” attitude have helped thousands of children and adults alike become contributing citizens to our community. Dedicated to individual excellence for 26 years!
